LOOSE LIDS STAIN SHIPS, unframed painting, 6x12”, watercolor and ink on 100% cotton paper. Painted in July 2024. A tribute to the IFT-3 test of SpaceX Starship and Falcon Super Heavy on March 14, 2024. The unique texture and starburst is a testament to the permanence of Ferris Wheel Press professional calligraphy ink—I spilled most of a bottle of Sweetbriar Rose across this painting while in progress, hence the title.
